Showroom Spotlight – Jacob Graff Design
The designer: Jack Byrne at Jacob Graff Design (5 Lynton Parade, Turners Hill, Cheshunt, Hertfordshire EN8 8LF, www.jacobgraff.co.uk)
The story: This month we’re showcasing a new kitchen showroom in Hertfordshire. Jacob Graff Design will focus on new advances in kitchen technology to ensure their customers’ kitchens will be one step beyond. Jacob Graff has chosen Beeck Kuchen as a partner and the showroom also offers an in-house range, which are designed to suit all budgets. There is also a framed door design and it’s the first Fulgor centre in the UK.
Designer Q&A:
Q) What concepts, styles and products does the showroom offer?
First and foremost, in the showroom is a selection of Beeck Kitchens. Beeck Kuchen is a German manufacturer of top-end kitchens offering a 19mm high density fibreboard carcass – and it’s just about the sturdiest available. Beeck offers a stunning array of finishes and all the interior fittings one could wish for.
For those who want a more traditional look, Jacob Graff has its own range manufactured in the Midlands. It gives flexibility offering eight carcass colours and the ability to build non-standard units. There is a huge range of doors, the majority of which can be made to non-standard sizes if required.
At the top of the range, Jacob Graff manufactures a framed kitchen, which is painted and hand finished. Each unit is like a piece of furniture, which can be created to the customer’s requirement. There is an unlimited choice of colours and solid wood is available, offering an entirely unique product.
To complement our kitchens, we also offer quartz worktops from three manufacturers as well as granite. We can also arrange for our customers to choose their unique slab of stone. On display are both Fulgor and Falmec high-end Italian appliances. Fulgor offers everything the aspiring chef could possibly want or need and Falmec hoods have a unique noise reduction system.
Q) What gives customers that instant wow factor when they walk through the door?
Two huge Beeck displays are instantly visible in the front of the showroom and from the street outside. On the right is a large U-shaped kitchen in a wood grain finish from the Beeck 2150 Trend range. The handle-less design has colour matched profiles on the door and drawer openings, offering a seamless aesthetic appearance.
On the left is a Beeck Val handleless display. This kitchen has a resin coated front with an embossed wood texture finish and the black fronts on the base units have a Halifax Oak carcass. On the wall units, we reverse the colour to a Hackney Brook Oak front on a black carcass to show the options available. The doors are bevelled and have a stainless-steel grip. Above these displays, front and centre is a huge, modern Chandelier, also available to purchase.
Q) What did you want to achieve with the new showroom in terms of aesthetics and products?
Our aim was to be able to offer customers what they wanted. We have ultra-modern German designs standing next to British-made, framed and painted furniture. We offer an entirely bespoke offering with any colour, size or door style our customers could want, including glass, stone and metal.
Q) Discuss your favourite elements of the showroom
The showroom has been designed so that as the customer walks around, they can see accessory after accessory and every possible combination of internal fixtures and fittings. It offers a talking point at every turn and increases the offering to even the most discerning client.
Q) What would you say your USP is?
Owned by an industry stalwart with 40 years’ kitchen experience and knowledge certainly offers customers a confident design and installation service! But I believe our USP comes from the wide range of furniture we sell. From German, ultra-modern metal, glass or stone-fronted cabinets to British designed, framed, hand finished and painted. We can offer our customers exactly what they want both in price and design.
