A Michigan megamansion made of marble is now available for a buyer in search of the perfect party palace.

“It’s the ultimate entertaining home,” says the listing agent, John Goci. Part of the reason why? A simple abundance of space.

“It’s 27,000 square feet, with an amazing balcony. The basement is 10,000 square feet and can hold 300 people. It opens up to a covered porch that opens up into the pool. You can have a very large party,” says Goci.

On the market for $5.5 million, the home is located in Northville, MI, an affluent Detroit suburb.

Goci says the original owner selected the marble for the exterior from a mine in Lebanon and spared no expense on the construction—which was completed in 2005.

Sadly, the original owner lost the mansion to foreclosure. In 2013, it was snapped up by Nagji Sutariya, founder of Saturn Electronics. He then gave his son Raj Sutariya an unlimited budget to renovate the eight-year-old structure.

“The only request his dad had had was to make every feature unique,” Goci explains. The agent adds that the father didn’t want anything in the house to be a copy of anything anyone else had.

As a result, the home is a showplace with an impressive entry, huge staircases, custom columns, and 50-foot ceilings.

When he first saw it, Goci says, “I said, ‘Oh my, this is my dream house! I just have to win the lottery to afford it.'” It’s built to entertain. The living room is amazing, and it’s a wide-open floor plan.”

Elaborate fireplaces as well as other high-end fixtures and features can be found throughout the lavish spread.

“Everything was custom-built by specialists in their field,” Goci says.

That includes the shoe stand in the entry, which he says cost over $30,000.

The humongous kitchen has two gigantic islands, oversized countertops, and high-end appliances.

“A lot of people like to have a lot of cooking space. It’s the ultimate gourmet chef’s kitchen,” Goci says.

Designed for a large crowd, it has three sinks and multiple built-in refrigerators, multiple-drawer refrigerators, and multiple under-counter refrigerators.

“It’s to party. You have to keep the food cold, and you need a lot of refrigeration space,” Goci explains.

For a gala celebration, there’s plenty of parking space for guests’ cars. In addition to the large driveway and four-car garage, a city parking lot is located close by, from which guests can be shuttled to and fro, Goci notes.

If guests need to stay overnight, they can choose from 10 bedrooms, each with an en suite bathroom.

The master bedroom is outfitted with a balcony overlooking the pool, a vast, 1,200-square-foot closet, and a bathroom with a soaker tub, huge shower, and a fireplace.

A large gazebo in the grounds is designed for outdoor entertaining, and Goci describes the pool as one of the largest private pools in the area.

Other high-end features include a driveway that’s heated, so snow won’t accumulate in the winter, 26 thermostats inside to control the indoor temperature, and an elevator designed to ferry residents and guests between floors.

Sadly, Nagji Sutariya did not live in the home long. He passed away in 2016, after a long battle with brain cancer. Now his widow is downsizing, and she and her sons continue their extensive humanitarian work.

“The house is like a palace. It looks better than Buckingham Palace, in my opinion,” Goci says. “It’s a house that was built with an unlimited budget.”
